Portugal Circuits is an independent guide made in Portugal. Every circuit is planned by people who know the country, with realistic days, sensible driving distances and a good base for every night.

How we make money

The site is free. When you book a hotel or a tour through some of our links, the booking site pays us a small commission. You pay the same price.

Privacy

We do not ask for an account and we do not collect personal data ourselves. The trips you make in the planner are saved only in your own browser. The map tiles come from OpenStreetMap and the fonts from Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when they load. Our affiliate partner Travelpayouts loads a script that may set cookies to attribute bookings you make after following our links. When you follow a link to a booking site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Advertising

To keep the site free, some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Visitors in Europe are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). In the Android app, people who have not bought the Trip Pass may see a small banner from Google AdMob; the Trip Pass removes it.

Android app

The Portugal Circuits app for Android works the same way: no account, and your trip, ticks and notes are saved only on your phone. If you tap “Where am I?”, the app asks for permission to use your location and uses it only to show your position on the map. Your location never leaves your phone and we do not store it. The Trip Pass is bought and managed through Google Play, so we never see your payment details. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved.
